Taryn R. Zimmerman is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bars and practices exclusively in the area of family and matrimonial law. Ms. Zimmerman represents clients in all stages of family law litigation and her practice involves all aspects of family law.
Ms. Zimmerman earned her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law. While attending Seton Hall Law School as an evening student, she also maintained a full-time career in the financial services industry in the Office of General Counsel at UBS Financial Services and Credit Suisse.
Ms. Zimmerman also completed a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Arthur Bergman, lead Children in Court Judge in Middlesex County.
Ms. Zimmerman also volunteered as a certified mediator for the Superior Court, mediating small claims and landlord-tenant disputes.
Ms. Zimmerman has volunteered as counsel to SAFE in Hunterdon County, which is a program that serves victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse. With SAFE, Ms. Zimmerman provided counsel to victims of domestic violence and assisted them in preparing for trial and obtaining final restraining orders. Ms. Zimmerman also provides pro bono services to the Women’s Resource Center in Somerset County and to approved clients in cooperation with the Legal Services of Northwest Jersey Volunteer Lawyer Program.
In 2014 and 2015, Ms. Zimmerman was recognized as a “New Jersey Super Lawyers – Rising Stars” by New Jersey Monthly Magazine. Taryn has been recognized by Avvo, an independent legal organization.
