Gregory A. Pasler is a partner at DeTommaso Law Group, L.L.C., and a certified Matrimonial Law Attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey—a distinction earned by fewer than 3% of attorneys statewide. This certification reflects his extensive experience, strong peer and judicial recommendations, and successful completion of a rigorous full-day written examination.
Greg focuses his practice on complex matrimonial and family law matters, representing clients in both the Trial Court and the Appellate Division. His appellate work has earned him recognition in Yahoo! Finance, the New Jersey Law Journal, and Law360.com for helping shape new legal standards and procedures in family law.
In addition to his deep experience in matrimonial litigation, Greg brings specialized knowledge to cases involving the intersection of family law with federal civil, and criminal litigation. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
Greg earned his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was awarded the prestigious Distinguished Law and Faculty Law Scholarships. He was also named a Distinguished Public Interest Scholar and received a Public Interest Law Fellowship. As a member of the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice, he provided pro bono family law services to underserved communities in Newark. Following law school, Greg served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Mega, J.S.C., in the Superior Court of Union County.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management, cum laude, with a minor in Business Law and Ethics from Fairfield University.
Greg has extensive experience across all aspects of family law, including custody, parenting time, child support, alimony, equitable distribution, and domestic violence matters. He also actively volunteers his time providing legal services through the Battered Women’s Legal Advocacy Project and lectures on family law topics at the County College of Morris Women’s Center, where he contributes to its monthly newsletter.
Known for his strategic, results-driven advocacy, Greg is also a Qualified Family Law Mediator and has been appointed by the court as an Early Settlement Panelist in Somerset and Hunterdon counties. He is trained in collaborative divorce, a non-adversarial approach that helps clients resolve matters without litigation. As part of his professional development, Greg completed the prestigious Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute sponsored by the American Bar Association in Houston, Texas.
Greg is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association (Family Law Section), the American Bar Association, the Somerset County Bar Association, and the New Jersey Collaborative Law Group.
